What we hold
Your email address, the resume you upload and confirm, the preferences you set, the jobs you view or save, the resumes and cover letters generated for you, and your application history and notes. That is the complete list — you can see all of it by exporting your data from Settings.
Where your resume goes
Resume content is sent to a language-model provider when you ask us to parse, tailor or write something from it. We route that traffic deliberately:
- Groq and OpenRouter handle anything containing your resume.
- Google Gemini's free tier is used only for content that is not about you — company research summaries and similar. Google states that free-tier prompts may be used to improve their models, so we keep your resume out of it entirely rather than relying on you to read this paragraph.
- Tavily receives company names for web research. It never receives anything about you.
Job matching, skill-gap analysis, ATS scoring and the fabrication check all run on our own servers and send nothing anywhere.
Where job listings come from
Public APIs operated by Remotive, Arbeitnow, RemoteOK and Adzuna, and employers' own Greenhouse and Lever job boards. We do not scrape LinkedIn or Indeed. When you apply, you go to the employer's own site — we never submit anything on your behalf.
The browser extension
The extension reads the page you already have open, only when you ask it to, and sends that text to us to score. It does not browse for you, does not run in the background, and holds a token separate from your login that you can revoke on its own.
Getting your data out, and deleting it
Both live in Settings and both work today. Export produces a complete JSON archive of every record linked to your account. Deletion removes all of it permanently — we ask you to confirm by email first, because it cannot be undone.
Retention
Your data stays until you delete it or your account. Operational logs are kept for 60 days. Export archives are deleted 48 hours after they are generated.
